The early Starplus Telephone Systems were analog, and although very reliable, are not easily adaptable to some features like Voice Mail Systems and Caller ID. The analog phone systems perform well and deliver user friendly features, but they are no longer being made. But telephones and control units are available for purchase on many Internet sites. Just Google Starplus analog or Vodavi analog and you should find many sources for equipment. Also try eBay. Vodavi has recently been acquired by Vertical Communications, but you can still look at the Vodavi/Starplus product line by clicking here.
The first Digital Systems provided integration for Voice Mail and Caller ID and other call routing features, including T1 and DID services. They perform reliably and provide features available on current state of the art Systems. Click here to find out more about Vodavi Digital Starplus.
